An 18th-century estate perched on a hill just outside Bordeaux, Gassies offers sweeping views, expansive gardens, terraces and structured reception spaces. I’ve covered full wedding weekends here; the light across its terraces and oak-grove parkland consistently produces clean, balanced imagery.

Château Le Petit Verdus
A smaller, intimate château surrounded by its own vines with secluded grounds and suites for overnight stays. I appreciate its quiet scale: portrait sessions and small gatherings here unfold naturally, without needing direction or artificial styling.

Château Rigaud
A boutique château among Bordeaux vineyards that combines rustic materials with refined interiors. I’ve documented multi-day celebrations here. Its mix of textures, flexible interiors, and dedicated event spaces support a streamlined editorial approach to storytelling.

Château Seguin
Historic yet simple in structure, with broad vineyards and straightforward architecture. I return often to Seguin; its vineyard symmetry and open surroundings make portraiture feel minimal and modern — ideal when you’re aiming for clarity and light over ornamentation.

Why Saint-Émilion Stands Out
Saint-Émilion isn’t just a village – it’s a region defined by vineyard terroir, historic estates, and a consistent visual language.

The vineyards, ancient stone buildings, gentle topography and structured estates together create a coherent backdrop that needs little styling. Couples often choose this area for its balance: heritage and simplicity, open landscapes and refined architecture. For photography, it means predictable light, clean geometry, and an environment where images feel contemporary without feeling staged. My repeated work here across seasons and venues gives me a deep sense of how each property behaves visually — a perspective I bring to every wedding I shoot in the region.
