Wedding At Chateau De Lacoste
This intimate, family-focused wedding took place at Château de Lacoste, set in the Dordogne, around three hours south of Bordeaux. Arriving at the château that morning, the landscape was covered in fog. The building appeared gradually through the old gates, partially hidden, setting a quiet and atmospheric tone for the day.
Katie and Joe share a long history—not just together, but between their families. Their mothers are close friends, which shaped the day into something genuinely personal and relaxed. Preparations reflected that ease: music, movement, conversation, and no sense of rush.
The ceremony took place in a small church near the château, followed by a cocktail and a short portrait session back on the grounds. Dinner unfolded with heartfelt speeches and stories, and as night fell, Katie and Joe cut a traditional French croquembouche. The rest of the evening moved naturally into conversation and dancing—unforced, emotional, and quietly memorable.

Chateau de Lacoste in Dordogne
The Chateau de Lacoste is located in the heart of the Dordogne region, just outside of Sarlat-la-Canéda in the heart of the Périgord. The chateau has been renovated to provide an elegant and luxurious setting for weddings, conferences, seminars and other events and has always been a private residence since when it was built. For such a big day, the team offers you the privilege of privatising this chateau. The chateau covers an area of 1500m2 and can host up to 150 guests. After the party, the couple and their friends will be happy to stay over in their place (which has enough room for about 28 people).
