Daisy & Jona
Château du Puits es Pratx wedding, Occitanie
Daisy and Jona married at Château du Puits es Pratx, in Occitanie. Its stone walls, inner courtyard and many small spaces kept the day close and intimate from start to finish.
They married in the garden under the trees, a ceremony that was close, emotional and unguarded. Dinner followed in the courtyard around the old fountain, with speeches that moved between tears and laughter late into the evening. Nothing felt rushed, and the warm evening light carried the party into the night.

Morning
Daisy got ready in a bright room with tall windows, her lace dress hanging by the curtains and her shoes on an old gilt mirror. There were a few quiet minutes at the open window, then the dress, with her bridesmaids in sage green doing up the back and a long hug before they went down.

Across the house
Jona dressed with his groomsmen in a room of dark beams and old maps: shirts, cufflinks, shoes and plenty of jokes. Then out into the courtyard in navy suits, in front of the stone walls and the ivy.

The ceremony
They married in the garden under the trees, beneath an arch of greenery. The groomsmen did not stay dry-eyed for long, and neither did the front row. Then the rings, a lot of smiling, a wooden sign held up together, and a walk out past the château between cheering friends.

Cocktail hour
Then hugs, drinks on the lawn and a caricature artist drawing guests in the shade of the palms. Friends compared their portraits, and the garden was full of laughing until it was time for photographs.

Portraits
We made portraits close to the house: under her veil, on the old stone paving, in front of the wooden doors and on the terrace steps, and finally by the water in front of the château. The stone walls held the warmth of the afternoon.

Dinner in the courtyard
Dinner was in the inner courtyard, at long tables around the old fountain under the vine, with olive branches and white flowers down the middle. The speeches moved between tears and laughter and went on late into the evening, and then came the cake.

Into the night
After the cake the party moved inside, to a stone hall with a giant wooden barrel on the wall. The first dance, then friends filling the floor, and a last round of sparklers under the trees outside.

Photographing at Château du Puits es Pratx

The estate.
Stone walls, ivy, blue shutters and an inner courtyard, with many small spaces around them. It keeps a wedding close and intimate from the first hour to the last.
Ceremonies.
In the garden under the trees, with an arch of greenery and the château a few steps away. The shade keeps the light soft on faces, even early in the afternoon.
The courtyard.
Long tables around the old fountain under a vine, with paper lanterns overhead. The stone holds the warmth of the day, so dinner here goes on late without anyone wanting to move.
The owners.
Warm, open and genuinely involved. Over time we have become friends, which makes working here easy and collaborative.
