Your Occitanie Wedding, Among Courtyards and Vines.

Wedding photographer in Occitanie

In Occitanie I keep coming back to Château du Puits es Pratx, near Narbonne: stone walls, a fountain courtyard and vines around it. Photographing weddings there has become one of my traditions.

The château has many small spaces, which keeps a wedding close and unhurried, from the ceremony in the garden to the speeches at dinner and the dancing late into the night. I work quietly inside them and use the courtyards for shade when the sun is strong.

Season

Late May to September. June and September are the most balanced, with strong light and temperatures guests can enjoy.

Light

Southern light is strong and reliable. The courtyards give shade in the middle of the day, and the vines are best for portraits in the last hour before sunset.

Getting around

Narbonne has a mainline railway station, and the airports at Béziers, Carcassonne and Montpellier are all within about an hour’s drive.

If it rains

Rain is unusual in summer. If it comes, ask the château which of its rooms can take the ceremony; stone interiors photograph well.

Two weddings at Château du Puits es Pratx: an intimate day in its stone courtyards, and one where the dance floor filled the moment the DJ started.

Châteaux I’ve photographed

I’ve photographed several weddings at Château du Puits es Pratx, so I know its courtyards, its garden and where the evening light falls across the vines.

What couples say

“Dina was our Photographer in June '25 in the Dordogne, and she was amazing. So easy to meet her online, organise all of the details easily, and then send her photos we wanted in preparation. She also worked really well with our videographer, and made sure we got every photo we needed. Highly recommend!!”
