Béziers Weddings, Among the Languedoc Vines.

In this part of Occitanie I keep coming back to Château du Puits es Pratx, near Narbonne. Weddings there are outdoors from the first hour to the last: a ceremony in the garden under the trees, dinner round the fountain in the courtyard, portraits in the vines when the sun is low. I plan the day around the heat, with shade at midday and the main portraits late.
The old town climbs to the cathedral, and below it the Canal du Midi steps down the staircase of locks at Fonseranes. Both suit an engagement session early or late in the day.
Pale stone, ivy, blue shutters and an old barn round a fountain courtyard, with vines close to the house. Everything is a few steps apart.
Late May to September is reliable. June and September give strong light with gentler temperatures; in July and August the trees and courtyards give shade.
Béziers Cap d’Agde airport is a short drive from the town, and Montpellier airport is about an hour away by car.

“Dina was our Photographer in June '25 in the Dordogne, and she was amazing. So easy to meet her online, organise all of the details easily, and then send her photos we wanted in preparation. She also worked really well with our videographer, and made sure we got every photo we needed. Highly recommend!!”

Yes, at Château du Puits es Pratx near Narbonne, more than once, and I photograph at other estates and villages across Occitanie.
Late May to September. June and September give strong light with more moderate temperatures.
I use the shade under the trees and in the courtyards during the day, keep group photos short, and save the main portraits for the hour before sunset.
