Engagement in Hallstatt
Engagement session in Hallstatt, Austria
Hallstatt is a small village on a lake in Austria, with mountain views, colourful houses and only 800 people living there. Many tourists come for the day; this couple came for an engagement session.
The streets are small and busy, so there is not much space, but if you wait for the moment, it comes. We spent three fun hours walking the village, the lakeside and the jetties, with a tulle skirt, matching black jackets and a lot of laughing.

The village
Hallstatt has colourful houses with the mountains straight behind them. The streets are narrow and full of visitors, so we walked slowly, waited for gaps in the crowd and found a quiet stone wall under a pink blossom tree, then the cobbled square to ourselves for a minute.

Above the lake
Along the water the village opens up: the railing, the boats and the mountains across the lake. From a terrace higher up, the church spire stands right beside you, and that is where they stopped for a kiss.

What couples say
“Dina was our Photographer in June '25 in the Dordogne, and she was amazing. So easy to meet her online, organise all of the details easily, and then send her photos we wanted in preparation. She also worked really well with our videographer, and made sure we got every photo we needed. Highly recommend!!”

On the jetty
We finished on wooden jetties over the water, where there was finally space to move. Her tulle skirt went everywhere, they sat on the boards and then lay down on them, and by then our three hours were nearly over.

Questions
How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book six to eighteen months ahead. Summer Saturdays go first.
I’m excited to go wherever your love story is taking me and looking forward to hearing from you!
