Dirk & Alexandra
Wedding in Paris
Dirk and Alexandra’s wedding was an intimate day in the centre of Paris, in a grand stone house with its own garden. Close friends officiated the ceremony, and when they were announced as married the two of them held their hands over each other’s hearts.
I photographed Dirk getting ready, the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Everyone was in evening dress, the garden was full of white flowers and draped columns, and Paris gave the whole day its own atmosphere.

Getting ready
Dirk got ready with his friends: champagne, bow ties, cufflinks and one of them at the piano. Everyone was in black tie, and between the jokes there was time for a calm portrait of him in the armchair before we went down to the garden.

Before the ceremony
Guests arrived past a line of lanterns to the front of the house, in long gowns and dinner jackets, and gathered inside under the chandeliers. In the garden, white chairs faced a round pavilion of stone columns draped in white, and Dirk walked down the aisle with two friends.

The ceremony
Alexandra came through the garden in a long veil. Close friends led the ceremony under the draped columns, with white flowers all around and a lot of smiles. At the end they held their hands over each other’s hearts and walked back up the aisle as their guests cheered.

What couples say
“Dina was our Photographer in June '25 in the Dordogne, and she was amazing. So easy to meet her online, organise all of the details easily, and then send her photos we wanted in preparation. She also worked really well with our videographer, and made sure we got every photo we needed. Highly recommend!!”

Cocktail hour
Drinks were served in the garden: oysters on ice, a champagne tower, a cigar on the lawn. Guests in gowns and black tie talked under the trees and by the hedges, and Alexandra moved from one group to the next with her veil still on.

The dining room
Before the guests sat down, I photographed the room set for the evening: a crystal chandelier, gold chairs, round tables in white linen and pale pink roses along the marble mantelpieces. Everything was ready for a long dinner with the people closest to them.

Questions
How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book six to eighteen months ahead. Summer Saturdays go first.
I’m excited to go wherever your love story is taking me and looking forward to hearing from you!
