Paris pre-wedding

Pre-wedding session in the rain, Paris

The couple under an umbrella on the Pont Alexandre III in the rain

Under Bir-Hakeim bridge

The top deck of the bridge kept us dry, and its arches and iron columns framed the Eiffel Tower across the river. The grey sky made the tower soft and pale, and the wet pavement gave us reflections of the dress and its long train.

Tea and croissants

Then a café with a red awning and wicker chairs, where we waited for the shops to open. Tea, croissants and a few quiet portraits by the warm lights inside, while the street outside stayed wet.

Umbrellas, at last

With umbrellas from a souvenir shop we could finally go out into the rain. We walked the wet paths and lawns below the Eiffel Tower and the streets nearby, and the umbrellas turned out to be the best prop of the day.

What couples say

“Dina was our Photographer in June '25 in the Dordogne, and she was amazing. So easy to meet her online, organise all of the details easily, and then send her photos we wanted in preparation. She also worked really well with our videographer, and made sure we got every photo we needed. Highly recommend!!”

Pont Alexandre III

We finished on the Pont Alexandre III, with its ornate lamps and gilded statues and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The bridge was almost empty, and the wet stone shone under the grey sky and reflected everything.

Rain during a session is not a bad sign. It is not comfortable, but the photographs are romantic, especially in Paris. This couple arrived in a wedding dress and suit, and without an umbrella: their hotel did not lend them one.

We started under the Bir-Hakeim bridge, out of the rain, then warmed up with tea and croissants in a café. By then the souvenir shops had opened, so we bought umbrellas, walked through the gardens and streets near the Eiffel Tower and finished on the wet, shining Pont Alexandre III.
