Grébovka Gardens

We started on the garden paths and the long stone staircases under the trees. Mari wore a red polka dot dress and a straw hat, Anthony a white shirt, and most of the time they were running up and down the steps, laughing.

The grotto

In the grotto there are arches, ivy and rough grey stone full of holes and hollows. They hid behind leaves, sat on the steps and lay among the rocks while I climbed above them: love on one side, their everyday fun on the other.

Over the city

We finished at a balustrade where the view opens across Prague. The park also has a vineyard, one of my favourite places for a summer evening with a glass of rosé at sunset. Away from the tourists, it is a good place to stop and simply hold each other.
